what our clients think

Over a period of several years Peter Ward has helped my wife and me with a number of pieces of work.  Three items in particular stand out as well worthy of mention and praise''.

Peter Ward repaired an antique sewing box which had belonged to Marlies’s grandmother. The box itself has a lid with a drawer below. It stands on a pedestal supported by three splayed legs one of which had broken. The repair was so expertly executed that it was and remains invisible – certainly to the eye of an amateur.

Mr Ward also restored a William and Mary chest of drawers the top of which had been disintegrating. This was also invisibly repaired and beautifully polished with a fine patina.

Further Mr Ward restored an antique gun case which we had bought for our younger son. This also had been falling apart. It was restored to its former glory, polished, and once more with a working lock. It is now in use.

All this work was carried out to the highest standard.

Peter repaired a carriage driving whip for us.  It was a beautiful repair such that you could not tell the driving whip had ever been broken.  We are very pleased
