Timestyle was established in 1992 and specialises in the repair and restoration of antiques and antique furniture
With more than 40 years of experience in the field of antiques (having made our first piece in 1971), we not only repair and restore items using the original methods, we also produce accurate replicas.
Access to a cooperative of skilled tradesmen means that whatever your item, one of our associates will be able to repair or restore it.
Much of our work comes from word of mouth recommendations, which we believe is testament to the quality of our workmanship.
Starting as a reproduction service for museums, Timestyle provided items for the British Library Galleries, The Victoria and Albert British Gallery, Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge, HMS Victory and National Trust properties.
The transition from reproduction to restoration took place aboard HMS Victory where the curator asked us to repair and restore the Cornwallis chairs. From then on all the repair and restoration of furniture aboard the Victory was carried out by Timestyle.
We pride ourselves on completing all restoration work, antique repairs and replicas in the style that they were originally produced. All woodworking is done by hand.
Our work is priced at £40 per hour, plus the cost of materials so the cost is variable depending on the length of time that a job takes. As yet we do not charge VAT
